Justina rule #46: When NPR calls, you get your butt in a studio and pick up the phone.

Here are some things I thought about while recording for NPR:

•  I should drink more water. my entire life is very dehydrated.

•  I wonder if Ira Glass listens to Weekend Edition?

• Oh my god Ira Glass might hear my voice 

• Thaaaat's going to damage my chances of ever getting on This American Life.

• Prom was fun. Why aren't there adult proms?

• AM I AN ADULT?

• I do listen to NPR.

• OH IT'S RINGING

• The fabric my prom dress is made of is probably illegal now.

 I may have never gone to highschool, but I look GOOD in a prom dress. Well, this prom dress.

Today is the day and the time is up, pumpkin or no pumpkin. Someones getting a stunner of a Unique Prom dress (Tiara not included, personal sparkle and grace sold separately) That someone is....


Even if you didn't win, fear not: now's the time to call your grandmother - you might be heir to a small European country.

who's that dress? | GIVEAWAY

Pretty dresses are kind of important. Do you think Prince Charming would have been half as down to go chasing all over the place looking for some girl if she'd been wearing glass shoes and a velour track suit? NOPE. What if Mia Thermopolis had been crowned Queen of Genovia in some Levi's and "gangsta rap made me do it" crop top? NOT ACCEPTABLE. No magic can happen when you look like your rolled through an Urban Outfitters trash bin on your way out. In all fairytales, however, whether based in small European countries or "real life", a fairy godmother is around to amp up the #ootn game. That's where I come in.

I'm teaming up with the fairies at Unique Prom to give one of you lucky ducks a lil' something snazzy to hop out of your pumpkin/parents car with at prom. That's right. This pink and pretty and overall very 80's prom dream dress could belong to you. All you have to do is find your own tiara, because I sure as heck ain't handing over mine.

you wanna do something fun? you wanna go to in n out?//PROM 2014

dress: vintage//heels c.o. bc footwear//rings: c.o. stella and bow

ah, prom. 

What a wonderful night. 

You recreate Charlies Angels poses with all of your girlfriends.

 (minus one, who is across a rather large pond)

You get to eat hamburgers + french fries,

and make faces out the drive thru window 

at your favorite eating establishment.

You go watch a movie that involves Don Draper, India,

 and a rather unlikely plotline.

You fit six people in a photo booth,

 then decide polaroids are better anyways.

You discover that when it comes to air hockey, 

your tiniest friend is much more ferocious than her size and demeanor had led you to believe.

You defend your title as reigning Dance Dance Revolution queen in very high heels.

..and you do it all in a dress you found stuffed on the back of the rack in your thrift store 

that fit you perfectly from the very beginning.
