Color No More. Noir Here On Forth.

(#teenvogue dress: custom aka one of a kind aka MINE/tights: claires/Boots:thrifted)

Idk man, I'm just getting some True Grit vibes from that first photo.

The sixth one, I'm just like "SLAAAAAAMMM DUNK BRAH!!"

And in the seventh, the small person (he's 7) across the street was riding his bike up and down the street and singing in Estonian. Or something. May have been Spanish. Probably.

Anywhoooo, have you missed my face? I know I haven't done an outfit post in ages, but I was waiting until fall/winter (cold weather woo!) comes along so I could start getting creative with the sweaters and leggings.

Then my mum came along and dropped three amazing issues of Life magazine
in my life. Ok, she dropped them on my desk, but it's the same really. They're from 1956, 1975, and 1989, and...

they are positively dripping with beautiful black and white photographs of
people (aka Hollywood starlets) pouting and glaring.

Heaven.

I think being in black and white makes everything more glamorous, or edgy, or whatever angle it was you were going for.

So obviously, I'm obsessed with these photographs of myself.

Even though my legs look about an inch long.
Ah well.

This is my favorite dress. I originally bought it to rip the buttons off, because duh sequins
are awesome, BUT THEN I tried it on, and fit me so completely perfectly, I now jump any excuse to wear it.

The boots maybe aren't the BEST shoes for this outfit, but you know what?

I'm a rebel.

Hahahaha, no, actually I banged my leg up playing soccer, so heels are a silly idea.

How do you feel about it?

Are you a black & white person, or a color one?

Just realized how deep that could be.

STAY ON THE SHALLOW END PEOPLE.

xx,
Justina

ps. I totally rhymed the title on purpose.

And All We Could See Were Flowers For Ages...

( #teenvogue dress: unknown shoes: converse jacket: vintage sunnies: forever 21 headband: gift)

I love this dress so much. It's just so happy, and has a minor retro vibe. And you all know how I feel about this jean jacket. Live in it. The crowning piece of this outfit though is the converse. You can't really see, (because I have a rubbish camera) but they are tye-died lighter and darker pink. Which is amazing.  And my beautiful sunnies. Because the sun chooses to place its beams right in my eyes no matter where I stand.

Look, theres TWO OF ME!

Nightmare scenario.

This planet can't HANDLE two of me.

Do you have a twin?

xx,
Justina

(Note: this does not actually need to be someone directly related to you. Evil twins can be cosmic.)

"Where'd Your Leg Go?" The Story Of The Extremely Relevant Shirt.

#teenvogue (Shirt: c/o Off Our Chests Pants: Crest Sunnies: Ray Ban)

This is going to be a bit rambly, until I get to the point.
Who remembers when Emma Watson's leg disappeared from the Burberry ad she was posing in?
That was funny. And then we realized that they had actually erased her leg.
Photoshopping gone kaput.

Now, we have turned the name of a product into a generally wide term for anything from erasing a freckle, or erasing some flyaway hair, to you know, CUTTING A WHOLE LEG OFF.

I don't have anything against photoshopping in general. I mean, I don't really want to see acne when I look at a model in Vogue. But I find it to be very sneaky when someone shows you a picture of "a natural look you can achieve at home" and the model has a face that is basically impossible. And  there is absoulutely no reason they have to tell you that the reason her face is impossible is because it is, as it was created on a computer.

This is where this t-shirt comes in. I was sent this by the lovely people at Feel More Better, whose mission is to make me feel better. and you too. They're urging people to sign the Media and Public Health Act which will basically force advertisers to put SOMEWHERE, even if it's in tiny print only a budgie can read, that that photo was in some way altered.

So to get things rolling:

The photos on my blog are not altered in any way. Except for the filter on my camera. Trust me, you don't want to see my street in straight sunlight. Promise.

I hope you got my point. If you didn't, here it was: Erase legs, put legs where they don't belong, move eyebrows, add weight, drop weight, whatever. Just tell me you did it.
Or maybe, with the leg thing, just don't do it at all.

And how do you LOVE my ghetto-fabulous pants?  Theres a funny story behind why they have all those holes. But alas, that's for another time.

Also, I have finally learned how to do a sock bun.

Be nice. No hating on someones happy.

Justina

It's all just like ugh, and my bag is RED.

Hellooooo loves. Sorry I've been AWOL and also MIA, this entire week has been TRAGIC. I was holed up like a fox (not the fantastic kind, no Roald Dahl influence here.) in my room working on my 4-H record book. (I got my gold star! YIPPEE.) THEN I had all sorts of other stuff to do, involving spaghetti and boys who don't know their mothers schedule. it was all just UGH. ANYWHO. I missed y'all! Isn't that weird? It's weird. So I thought as a treat for being lovely and not deserting me even though I deserted you, I'd put up an outfit post. (BWAHAHAHAHAHA)

( #TeenVogue ring: oasap.com Jeans: Rock & Republic Bag: Vintaaaage T-shirt: Old Navy Sunglasses: Forever 21 Shoes: They're European)

I seriously love this bag. My mum gave it to me  (I think she's attempting to infiltrate my closet) isn't is CAH-UUUTE? And it's very red, which makes me happy. I'm just thinking, this is basically the ORIGINAL candy-colored plastic bag. It's so old, it's IN. THat's about a bakillion times better than being new and in. You can't really see it, but I'm wearing the is ah-dorable ring I got from Oasap. It has ears. You know that's amazing.

Are you having any ughhhhhh moments lately??
