jawohl // #germankidperks

shirt c.o my oma//shorts:vintage levis//sneakers: converse

fun fact you may not know about me:

my mum is German.
And not 1/16th,
but 100%-real-life-from-Germany-German.

As a result of that,
I have a deep love for both German foods and the Deutsches Fussball-Bund's
Deutsche Fußballnationalmannschaft der Frauen.

Try to say it. I dare you.

I don't know if you are a watcher of international soccer
(whoever just made the Beckham joke, get out)
but these women are about as badass as it gets.

They hold not one, not three, but EIGHT World Cup titles.
EIGHT.

In comparison,
the US has two.
Two.

So when my Oma
(that's highly technical German for "grandmother")
asked if I wanted a team jersey shirt thing, I said "JA UND JAWOHL"
(more v. complicated German for you).

Hence, my new favorite vaguely sports related outfit.

Sie sollten alle lernen Deutsch zu sprechen und Fußball zu spielen.

xx

  1. Hi Justina,
I found your blog through the piece you wrote for Teen Vogue which was really sweet! Now, I've spent a long time stalking *ahem* reading your blog instead of revising which is amazing. Although this just confirms the fact that I am still absolutely screwed for my exams next week. Ahahaha..ha..haa! :s
I really love your style and your hair! I wish I lived in California where it was eternally summer (just looked out of my window, and there is sun in England - hooray!). Yeah, not really sure what the point of this comment was, I think I'm rambling... ;)

  2. I just stumbled upon your blog cause of that Teen Vogue article I really liked. I just scrolled down and saw some German words and that shirt. First I wondered why you posted that, but after reading I knew it. Your German skills (the words + phrases I read) are really good. I'm a 16-year old German girl, so I should know that haha. :)
And I also do always say Oma to my grandma. Plus German food is so delishhhhh, but I actually like EVERY kind of food ;D
Keep writing your blog, so I can read some more nice stuff.

    xx

Tell me what I want to hear. Or what you want to say.

Just remember:

If you're mean, I'll track you down and replace all your shoes with those hideous white tennis things that are so popular among the very sad.
